The attack was carried out on Adolf Hitler's birthday

During the investigation, it was confirmed that Ramirez was a supporter of Hitler and Nazi ideology. Photos published by him were found on the Internet, including: performs the Nazi salute.

According to the daily “El Pais”, the basis for claiming that the aggressor committed the crime under the influence of fascination with the leader of the Third Reich was the fact that he committed the attack on April 20, i.e. on Adolf Hitler's birthday.

The attack took place on Monday morning on the Pyramid of the Moon in the Teotihuacan archaeological zone. Ramirez's fatal victim turned out to be a 32-year-old Canadian citizen. Of the thirteen injured, seven people suffered gunshot wounds, and the rest suffered from falls from a height.
