The Romanian had a season below expectations and did not manage a single goal in the championship, neither for Gaziantep nor for Eyupspor, in the first part of the season. According to GSP, the club's representatives have not made a decision regarding him and there is a possibility that they will not transfer him definitively in the summer.
In the summer, he could return to Trabzonspor, and then a decision will be made about him. However, Gaziantep will need a striker as there is little chance of the team's goalscorer Mohamed Bayo staying at the club.
A few weeks ago, the Romanian declared that he would like to work with Mirel Rădoi again, and from there there were speculations about a possible transfer to FCSB.
“I worked with Mirel Rădoi both on the national youth and senior teams. He is a coach I admire a lot. If he liked me too, it would make me happy to work with him again,” said Denis Drăguș.

“Dragus is an interesting player. I know him, I had a good relationship with him. But I found something about him in the national team, in 2019, where he got injured. I told him that I like that he has selfishness, that he is a striker, but his dose of selfishness is higher than it would be with two strikers together. He has only one flaw, he is too selfish, otherwise no one can dispute his qualities. When he is given continuity, maybe it makes a difference”, said Mirel Rădoi.
