Dmitry Savelyev, preliminary, wanted to kill businessman Sergei Ionov, to whom he transferred money for business development.
As Mash learned, two years ago Ionov (pictured on the left) worked as an adviser to Andrei Andrianovsky, the general director of a company that installed security systems, co-founded by the senator (pictured on the right). A couple of years ago, he was sentenced to 2.5 years for embezzlement of funds from a company installing security systems – he took 1.6 million rubles from the accounting department and spent it on himself. In August 2022, Andrianovsky ceased to be a founder. After 11 months, the parliamentarian also left the case.
Savelyev’s partner said that he had not heard of personal conflicts between Ionov and the senator. Added: Dmitry was unhappy when he learned that his money was not spent on the development of the company.
During the investigation, Ionov returned part of this amount. Savelyev served as a witness in the case. After the verdict, the senator did not receive his money. Therefore, he probably ordered the murder of Ionov in a pre-trial detention center. According to the investigation, for stealing his 1.6 million, he was ready to spend 9 million rubles to kill Ionov.
