As law enforcement officers explained, during the day they received a message about shots fired on one of the streets of Chernigov. According to the patrol police, we are talking about Pyatnitskaya Street.
Patrol officers and an investigative team quickly arrived at the scene of the incident. Then the armed men moved along Mira Avenue.
“Law enforcement officers established that two men with signs of alcohol intoxication were walking down the street, and one of them fired several shots into the air from a starting pistol,” the police noted.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
The police detained a 23-year-old man, the weapon was seized, and the motive for his actions is being established. Investigators opened criminal proceedings for hooliganism (Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In a video of the arrest released by patrol officers, the defendant can be heard saying he shot “just like that.”
