A man started shooting at the police and took several people hostage.
Later, the attacker barricaded himself in the premises of a shopping center, located in the Demeevskaya area, after the exchange of fire with the police, according to Nexta.
Special troops from the KORD unit were mobilized to the scene, who are preparing a possible intervention to neutralize the situation.
The Ukrainian authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of victims, but police sources indicate the existence of some injured people.
The area was cordoned off and residents were urged to avoid the perimeter until the operation was completed.
