According to police findings, the suspect operated not only in Heilbronn-Franken, but also in other parts of Germany. Officers believe that the number of burglaries he is responsible for may reach 67 cases, although initially there were about 50 crimes. The man was arrested in Mockmühl in the district of Heilbronn, and previously he was also supposed to have operated in Tauberbischofsheim in the district of Main-Tauber.
Same place for 12 years. A pensioner from Poland detained in Germany
The police emphasize that the detained pensioner came to Germany in winter, when the number of burglaries traditionally increases. Investigators say that for about twelve years he regularly traveled from Poland to the Main-Franconia region, where he not only committed multiple burglaries, but also used the same accommodation.
As determined by officers from the criminal police in Würzburg and the Police Headquarters in Heilbronn, the key clue in the investigation turned out to be the car in which the suspect allegedly drove to the crime scene many times. The vehicle was identified and stopped in Kitzingen, Bavaria. Currently, further investigation is underway to confirm whether all suspicions against the 74-year-old are justified.
