The South Korean automaker is introducing the Seltos to the European market for the first time. The petrol version will go into production in the second quarter of 2026, and the hybrid version will be launched later, according to automarket.ro.
The Kia Seltos model enters the same segment as the Dacia Duster, being a direct rival in size and body type. Both are compact SUVs, suitable both for the city and for more difficult roads.

The Kia Seltos is the manufacturer's second best-selling model globally. The C-segment SUV has reached its second generation and will be available in Europe for the first time.
The SUV has a length of 4,430 mm, a width of 1,830 mm and a height of 1,600 mm. The wheelbase measures 2,690 mm.
The front end draws attention with the black grille, LED headlights with a slim Star Map light signature and protective elements in the lower spoiler area. The model comes with 18- or 19-inch wheels, and the slim taillights retain the same Star Map light signature, according to the source cited.
As for engines, the new Seltos is available both with a thermal engine and in a hybrid version. The petrol version is equipped with a 1.6 liter T-GDi engine, which develops 180 hp and 265 Nm.
The engine can be combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The automatic variant is available along with all-wheel drive.
