“It's fair”

— I think it's fair for them to come to us because they've been to Moscow many times before. This is an important signal also for our society, which continues and fights, he said. He added that currently the American side's attention may be focused on Iran and the Middle East.

At the same time, the President of Ukraine emphasized that it is crucial for Kiev to continue dialogue with the United States, Europe and trilateral talks with the participation of Russia.

According to earlier information from Kiev, special envoys of the US President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were to visit Ukraine in April, after the Orthodox Easter. However, the visit has not been officially confirmed yet.

After President Donald Trump took office, the US administration announced that peace talks between Russia and Ukraine would be quickly concluded. In February, American and Ukrainian negotiators discussed an ambitious plan to reach an agreement in March, but sources indicated that this deadline was unlikely due to the dispute over territorial issues. Since the outbreak of the war between Israel and the US and Iran, peace talks between Kiev and Moscow with the participation of Washington have slowed down.
