Draft regulation regarding, among others, simplifying registration procedures and abolishing territorial restrictions for farmers selling products to customers directly or retail, is to be submitted for consultation before the summer holidays – the Ministry of Agriculture announced on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MRiRW) is working on a draft regulation on facilitations for farmers engaged in direct sales and agricultural retail trade (RHD), the ministry informed.
A project that – as indicated – is to be submitted for consultation before the holidaysassumes, among others, increasing sales limits for certain products and abolishing territorial restrictions, which will enable the sale of agricultural products throughout the country. The ministry said that it is also planned to simplify registration procedures so that more farmers can enter the market.
The Ministry noted that in October 2025, there were 4,000 people under the supervision of the State Sanitary Inspectorate. 698 entities engaged in agricultural retail trade of products of plant origin. According to the ministry, farmers are increasingly willing to sell not only raw materials but also processed products directly from the farm, i.e. cheese, cold cuts, bread, preserves and ready-made meals.
As the ministry emphasized, shortening the product route from the producer to the recipient means greater independence and more predictable income for farmers, and benefits for local communities in the form of fresh food of known origin. (PAP)
