On the night of March 12-13, construction of an escalator tunnel began at the future Ulitsa Kopylova metro station in Krasnoyarsk. Residents of nearby houses complain that the noise is now making it impossible to work and sleep.

The construction customer, the Center for Transport Logistics, commented to TVK that it would send a letter to the general contractor Mosproekt-3 JSC demanding a review of night work at all sites located near residential buildings.
At the same time, the organization emphasized that the construction season in the region is short, deadlines are tight, and the project itself provides for a 24-hour operation. The work is organized in two shifts in order to quickly complete the noisiest stages.
As the metro builders themselves explain, the noise does not arise from driving piles, but from cleaning the drill. The technology makes it possible to build piles underground: a well is drilled, a reinforcement cage is lowered inside, then the structure is filled with concrete. A fence made of piles is necessary so that the soil does not crumble, water does not approach and neighboring buildings are not damaged.
Similar complaints about noise from metro construction were received from other areas of Krasnoyarsk. During subway construction, the law on silence does not apply.
