The baked goods were called “Easter Miracle”. According to the co-organizer of the event, advisor to the mayor Ekaterina Varvus, this is the largest paska in the Novovolynsk community.

It was officially included in the Book of Community Achievements – this is already the second recorded record in the city. After the presentation, it was cut and distributed to everyone.

Military personnel and families of Ukrainian defenders, in particular mothers, wives and relatives of dead, missing and captured soldiers, took part in the festival. They were the ones who symbolically cut the holiday bread.

“Is this important? It’s very important, because we feel this attitude towards us, towards families, and attention is important to us!” – said the daughter of a missing serviceman, the wife of a military man, the sister of the defender of Zmeiny Island, released from captivity, Bogdan Chapyuk.

According to Varvus, the paska has become a symbol of unity, faith and support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the event, donations were also collected for the needs of the 39th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.

The largest paska in Ukraine, which holds the record, was made in 2013 in Khartsyzsk (Donetsk region). As Channel 5 reported, the weight of the baked goods was 2.88 tons and the height was 2.7 m.

It took three days to prepare the giant paska, and more than 50 local businesses provided funds for its creation.
