Craiova University clearly prevailed in the confrontation with CFR Cluj, score 2-0, in which many players gave a good and very good performance, some shining. But there were also footballers, stars, caught offside!

Universitatea Craiova – CFR Cluj, score 2-0, was the kind of match that made the difference between the team that continues to fight for the title, with a high chance of success, and the one that has its limits and cannot claim more than 3rd place.

The game also showed that, basically, there are two candidates for the title this season, the University of Craiova and U Cluj, who, next Monday, meet on the banks of the Someș!

Universitatea Craiova (3-4-3): Shows that it has the face of a champion

– L. Popescu (note 7) * He had an exceptional intervention right before the break, in the 45th minute, when he blocked Cordea's shot. Which if it passed him, the goalkeeper, it was empty. He had other energetic outings.

– Romanchuk (grade 6) * Gave the team confidence with his play. Cluj had only two opportunities, but the defense solved the problems, and with a chance, that's right.

– Ad. Rus (grade 6) * OK, marking his territory in the defense of the blue and white.

– Screciu (grade 6) * Plays from experience and gives confidence to the team.

– Mora (grade 8) * The real man of the match. He provided opportunities for those in the central area and provided an outstanding assist to Al Hamlawi for the Juves' second goal. Outstanding offensive contribution, in the usual grade.

– Cicâldău (note 6) * He went up bravely in the first half, to give superiority to his team. He tried the long shot, feeling that he could surprise. A successful match.

– Anzor (note 8) * Very important for Craiova, the corner taker and the man who never gets tired. He hit the crossbar in the 41st minute with a fierce rebound. On the second attempt, more beautiful, more spectacular, he scored in the 56th minute. And what a success! “Torpedo” from 25 meters placed with remarkable accuracy near the bar.

– Fl. Ștefan (note 7) * Incisive, with daring attempts on the offensive phase, being twice in front of the situation to score decisively.

– D. Matei (grade 6) * He has become an extremely useful man for the formation, not only through the prism of the fact that he is eligible for U21. It has its place and its role. He scored for 3-0, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

– Al Hamlawi (note 7) * He lost his nature in the offensive, he slipped awkwardly in a phase from which he could have scored in the 27th minute. But he scored at the right moment, in the 61st minute, for 2-0, calming the situation for the Juves. After which he was changed in the very next minute.

– Etim (grade 5) * From the first half he tried to speed up the game, but Braun read many of his intentions. A modest game compared to other situations.

Coach: Filipe Coelho (grade 8) * Great victory, against an uncomfortable opponent, CFR Cluj, against a fierce coach, Daniel Pancu. A match controlled by Craiova University. Even though he's always in tracksuits, Coelho has style.

They have also played:

Baiaram (grade 4) * Came in for Etim in the 62nd minute. He just existed on the field.

– Nsimba (grade 4) * Came on for Al Hamlawi in the 62nd minute. Did not add to the attack as desired.

– T. Băluță (grade 6) * He replaced Anzor in the 62nd minute. Organized in his area, he maintained the distance from the opponent.

– Teles * Came in for Cicâldău in the 86th minute.

– Băsceanu * Came in for D. Matei in the 90th minute.

CFR Cluj (4-2-3-1): Lost to a much stronger opponent

– M. Popa (grade 6) * He did everything he could in the first half, gave safety, then had a chance on Anzor's cross. It limited the scoring proportions in the end despite conceding two goals. Anzor's shot was sensational, he had nothing to do with Al Hamlawi's goal after being abandoned by his teammates.

– Braun (grade 5) * Everything that made it good in the first half evaporated in the second half. Al Hamlawi pounced on the gap between himself and Sinyan and scored.

– Sinyan (note 4) * The weak link of Cluj's defense in this match.

– Huja (note 4) * He wasn't in his best during the first part, that's why he was replaced at halftime with Matei Ilie. He also got a “yellow”, being prone to elimination.

Abeid (grade 4) * The full-back who replaced the legendary Camora at CFR Cluj played for coach Daniel Pancu in the first half, and the technician explained to him, with broad gestures, how to deal with certain situations. He lost the duel with Mora, totally.

– Muhar (note 5) * More played his name on “Ion Oblemenco”.

– T. Keita (grade 4) * Weak. He could not stop the offensive game of the Juves, he was bypassed brilliantly. He got “yellow” quickly, then played timidly.

– Cordea (grade 5) * Very aggressive, he clung to the ball, to the opponent, trying to create superiority in the right lane. He couldn't beat Laurentiu Popescu in the 45th minute, he was “cut” in front of the goalkeeper's energetic exit. Low down on the footballer considering the potential he has shown in recent months.

– Korenica (grade 5) * A footballer of his stature must make a difference. Practically, he was not seen in a high-stakes match.

Biliboc (grade 5) * He started the offensive phase more timidly, and on the defensive he had to go down with Mora, luckily Abeid helped him in a few situations. He did not cope with the pressure of the game. He didn't shy away from duels, but it wasn't what it should have been!

– Aliev (grade 6) * He stands out when he receives the ball in the box, he is not shy to resume from difficult positions, as he was in the 28th minute, when he signed CFR's first great opportunity, shooting just wide of the goal, from an angle.

Coach Daniel Pancu (grade 5) * He went as far as the straps would hold him. CFR Cluj cannot claim the title, at most they can attack the 3rd place, this is the current reality. The attack was not up to the task and the defense was weak. The middle? He was seriously shaking.

They have also played:

– M. Ilie (grade 6) * He replaced Huja in the 46th minute. Physically, he offered more confidence in the defense, it was the only change that was felt.

– Daughter (grade 4) * Came on for Keita in the 69th minute. Nothing.

– Ad. Paun (note 4) * Came in for Cordea in the 69th minute. Nothing.

– Zahovic (grade 4) * Came in for Aliev in the 69th minute. Nothing.

– Kamara * Came on for Muhar in the 84th minute.

Referee Marcel Bîrsan (note 6) * Was lost in awarding yellow cards to keep the match under control, since the first half hour, wanting to impose himself in front of the players. However, he did not lose the match. And it wasn't really simple.

ASSISTANT

– Radu Ghinguleac (note 7) * No mistake.

– Mircea Grigoroiu (note 8) * He signaled offside on Matei's goal (73) and the VAR room gave him the right after two minutes of analysis.
