A week ago, Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of banned substances and for refusing to take a test after a crash in Florida. The golfer denied the allegations and said he had not consumed alcohol, but two hydrocodone pills were found in his pocket.

Wednesday, April 1, Woods announced that he is taking a break from his sports career and will focus on treatment and his health. “I know and understand the gravity of the situation I'm in… I'm committed to taking the time I need to come back healthier, stronger and more focused, both personally and professionally,” said the legendary athlete.

Tiger Woods on the phone with Donald Trump? How the footage looks

Meanwhile, footage of the interaction between Woods and the police officers has emerged. The golfer is surprised when he gets out of the car and walks away from her, talking on the phone. At one point the cop tells him to go back to talk and Woods replies “I was just talking to the president”.

Even if it does not explicitly say that it is Donald Trump, the president of the United States, the American press speculates so. Woods is in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, Trump's former daughter-in-law, and is on good terms with the US president, who presented him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in his first term.

“I'm so sorry. He's in trouble. He is a very close friend. A great person. A wonderful man. But he's going through difficulties,” Trump said shortly after Woods' accident, quoted by ESPN.

The released footage also captures Woods' explanation of the crash, claiming he was looking at his landline before the impact, and the athlete's surprise when he learned he would be arrested. Furthermore, when asked if he wanted anything from the wrecked car, he asked for his golf clubs.

I understand. It's worth more than my house“, answered the policeman, according to the previously mentioned source.
