Controls in Dino. Low temperature and violations of regulations

Inspections of the National Labor Inspectorate in the Dino Polska store chain are gaining momentum. According to the latest information provided by the trade unions and the office, as a result of the activities undertaken so far, over 1,000 decisions have already been issued against the company, and the proceedings are still of an evolving nature.

Inspections by the National Labor Inspectorate are underway in Dino stores throughout Poland.
The impulse to start them was numerous signals from employees regarding too low temperatures in workplaces. Therefore, in December 2025, trade unions asked the National Labor Inspectorate for urgent intervention. According to trade unionists, the information provided by employees was confirmed by the inspection results. In addition, in their opinion, despite earlier announcements of inspectors' visits, the company did not implement effective corrective actions.
Inspections confirm irregularities
As Marcin Stanecki, Chief Labor Inspector, informed the trade unions, only on the basis of 172 inspections carried out and entered into the records in Dino stores, a total of 381 decisions were issued in 90 outlets, of which:
- 50 concerned too low a temperature,
- 5 – lack of protection of cash desks against cold,
- 4 – improper heating of social rooms,
- 3 – lack of appropriate personal protective equipment.
– Intervention inspections related to reporting irregularities are carried out on an ongoing basis – emphasized Marcin Stanecki in correspondence with trade unionists.
A hotline for employees has been established
The breakthrough in the case was the intervention of MP Adrian Zandberg, who visited one of the Dino stores in Sochaczew.
– Publicity of the problem led to, among others, to launch a special PIP hotline, enabling employees to report violations, regardless of the industry – informs Bankier.pl Wojciech Jendrusiak, chairman of OPZZ Konfederacja Pracy.
However, after the politician's visit, trade union activist Katarzyna Kiwerska was fired. She had been demanding decent working conditions for the staff at the supermarket in Sochaczew for many weeks and agreed to parliamentary intervention.
– When the employer does not want to talk about problems, we are forced to publicize them and use state tools to improve working conditions. We have shown that joint actions are effective, says the trade unionist.
