The world number one in the ATP ranking, Carlos Alcaraz, became the owner of a luxury yacht “Sunreef Ultima 88”, produced by the Polish company Sunreef Yachts. For this spectacular purchase, the young Spanish tennis player paid about 10 million dollars.

The 26-year-old sportsman chose an impressive model, 27 meters long, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The yacht includes a spacious salon, a hydraulic platform and folding side decks, ideal for water sports. The interior is divided into four cabins, two bathrooms, a galley and two living areas, while the master cabin benefits from a generous bathroom with Jacuzzi.

In a statement to Super Yacht Times, Alcaraz explained the reasons behind this investment, emphasizing the need for relaxation in an extremely busy schedule.

“I realized how much I like being on a boat. I live near the sea and the climate suits me. With my busy competitive schedule, I need a place where I can disconnect and rest from tennis. This is perfect for me because I can have fun and relax at the same time.”

Rafael Nadal also had an important role in his decision. The tennis legend, who also owns a yacht from the same manufacturer, gave him some essential advice.

Rafa Nadal gave me some suggestions. Everything is really impressive, even better than I could have imagined. Whenever I'm at home or on vacation, I want to enjoy the sea. That's what Rafa recommended to me,” revealed Alcaraz.

  • The news comes shortly after an unexpected result for the world leader. Alcaraz was eliminated by Sebastian Korda (36th ATP) in the 3rd round of the Miami Masters 1000 tournament, score 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
