More than 1,900 people died and at least 20,000 were injured in Iran as a result of the US and Israeli attacks on that country that began on February 28, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) reported on Friday, citing data from the Iranian Red Crescent.

As IFRC representative Maria Martinez said, due to the war, the Red Crescent remains the only humanitarian organization operating in all of Iran.
According to the Iranian Red Crescent, 17 centers of the organization were damaged in the ongoing attacks, and 100 ambulances were either damaged or destroyed. Throughout Iran, 289 medical and pharmaceutical facilities and over 600 schools and other educational centers were damaged.
The war in the Middle East began on February 28 with Israeli and US airstrikes on Iran. Tehran responded with attacks on both Israel and Arab states in the Persian Gulf region, including American military bases and civilian facilities there, such as airports and petrochemical installations. Iran has also blocked free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, thereby halting oil exports from the Middle East.
The Americans also suffered losses
US Central Command (CENTCOM) spokesman Tim Hawkins announced on Friday that more than 300 American soldiers have been injured since Israel and the US began the war on Iran. Earlier, it was reported that 13 US soldiers had been killed.
– Since the beginning of Operation Epic Fury, 303 American soldiers have been injured. The vast majority suffered minor injuries, and 273 soldiers have already returned to duty, a CENTCOM spokesman told AFP.
Another American official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that 10 soldiers were seriously injured during the war.
Since the war began, approximately 50 people have been killed in Iran's retaliatory attacks, including 13 American soldiers and 15 Israeli civilians.
