Rystad Energy experts emphasize that reconstruction time depends on the type of installation and local repair possibilities. In the case of large LNG complexes in Qatar and offshore infrastructure in Iran, this process may take from several months to five years. Limited availability of key equipment such as gas turbines, which take two to four years to deliver, also remains a problem.
Norwegian analysts point out that the effects of the destruction may be more severe than the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
