A grand jury on Thursday indicted a brother and sister in connection with planting a bomb at the Central Command (CENTCOM) headquarters in Florida, FBI director Kash Patel said. CENTCOM covers the Middle East and oversees the ongoing war with Iran.

According to the charges disclosed on Thursday, the suspects are Alen and Ann Mary Zheng. On March 16, they allegedly planted an explosive device in the MacDill Air Force Base's visitor center in Tampa, Florida, where Central Command is located.
Alen Zheng, who the FBI said planted the device, was charged with attempting to destroy government property by fire or explosion, illegally manufacturing a destructive device and illegally possessing such an item. The FBI said the suspect is currently in China.
His sister, Ann Mary Zheng, was arrested in Tampa and charged with accessory after the fact and destruction of evidence.
“No one who targets our brave soldiers and military installations will go unpunished – the FBI will pursue those responsible for the incident at MacDill Air Force Base to the ends of the earth,” said FBI Director Kash Patel.
