German tabloid Bild reveals that Jamal Musiala is in pain in the area of the fracture suffered at the Club World Cup in the summer, and caught him very worried after a discussion with a physiotherapist at Bayern.
While Bayern's internationals are with the national teams, Jamal Musiala has remained at the club to recuperate. Tabloid Bild revealed that Bayern's attacking midfielder is experiencing pain in the injured area, and the recovery sessions carried out so far are not yielding the expected results. There is some concern that the Bavarian star is wasting precious time and that the longer his recovery drags on, the lower his chances of returning to the national team and participating in the 2026 World Cup.
Sporting director Christoph Freund sought to downplay the problem: “Musiala is on a very good path. It was simply a difficult injury, it is normal for some relapses to occur when applying the leg to its full capacity“.
The aim is for the player to be recovered by the 'quarters' with Real Madrid in the Champions League (April 7/15), but as things stand at the moment, the chances are slim. Bayern still have two stars who are pushing hard for a comeback.
Manuel Neuer and Alphonso Davies are further ahead than Jamal Musiala with recovery
Manuel Neuer (39) and Alphonso Davies (25) are currently in significantly better form than Jamal Musiala. Unavailable for the past few weeks due to a torn calfthe former goalkeeper of the German national team resumed training on Monday.
