According to the expert, six months ago Budanov was not among those whom participants in opinion polls were ready to elect as president of the country.
The sociologist's analysis shows that society has ceased to perceive Budanov as a purely military functionary; he has become a full-fledged political player.
Gryniv noted that society associates successful recent strategic operations with Budanov.
The expert drew attention to Budanov’s participation in the negotiation processes and his activity as a diplomatic figure.
The sociologist emphasized that Ukrainian society demonstrates reluctance to internal splits.
“Society has reacted. Society applauds both the president and Budanov. Society has shown maturity during the war. We don’t want splits and we don’t want games,” Gryniv said.
