Iran has agreed that it will never acquire nuclear weapons, US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday. He said that negotiations with Tehran include, among others: Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. Vance.

Trump explained that the “sensible” approach of the authorities in Iran prompted him to refrain from striking Iranian power plants.
– It all starts with the fact that they cannot have nuclear weapons (…). I was asked what the 10 most important points (of the agreement) were. I said, well, number one, two and three are they can't have nuclear weapons and they won't have nuclear weapons, and that's what we're talking about. “I don't want to speak in advance, but they agreed they would never have nuclear weapons,” Trump said during a call with reporters.
He noted that talks with the Iranians are still ongoing, and in addition to his envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance are also participating in them. (PAP)
