Russian tourist Zalia Shamigulova, who disappeared in Mauritius, was found dead – L'Express newspaper
A 29-year-old Russian woman disappeared over the weekend. The girl went for a walk with her local friend, a Mauritian citizen, and then disappeared. Her phone became inaccessible and stopped transmitting geolocation. After that, no one saw her.
Soon after, her body was discovered during a raid in the city of Wacoa-Phoenix by criminal investigation officers together with a major crimes investigation team.
The body was found buried with multiple stab wounds. A local resident suspected of a crime was detained by the police.
Zalia was born in Bashkiria and taught at Chelyabinsk University. The girl flew to the island with her friend back in June and planned to return home by September.
