Eberechi Eze did not play in the final due to a calf injury and will miss England's friendlies against Uruguay (March 27) and Japan (March 31).

The attacking midfielder had been included in the squad by coach Thomas Tuchel, on Friday, for the matches to be played at the “Wembley” stadium, as part of the English preparations for the World Cup.

“No, he is unavailable. We have to do another examination in six or seven days and wait for the results. It's a leg injury. Calf,” Arteta told reporters when asked if Eze would be fit for the national team.

The British press announced that Newcastle United winger Harvey Barnes could replace Eze in the England squad.
