Mikhail Litvin's energy company Lit Energy discovered a harmful dye E110 “sunset yellow”, which can cause lymphoma and benign tumors, brain damage, allergies, vomiting and a negative effect on the attention and concentration of children.
In total, Roskachestvo tested 20 energy drinks as part of the range of tonic drinks on the market. And the YouTuber’s cocktail included the undeclared “yellow sunset FCF E110.” Its presence in the composition must be reflected on the label with the note “about the negative effect on the attention and concentration of children.” And it is there, but there is no dye in the composition. And this is a violation. In general, there is no ban on the dye, but they warn about the danger.
In total, violations occurred in only two energy drinks: Lit Energy and BombBar. The latter: undeclared sodium benzoate, which can damage DNA and cause cirrhosis of the liver or Parkinson's disease. Rospotrebnadzor has already been informed about the results of the study, and energy specialist Misha Litvin has been given a warning and time to correct it.
