A NATO armored brigade of 4-5 thousand soldiers will be created close to the border with Russia – Finnish media
In the Finnish city of Mikkeli, not far from the border with the Russian Federation, troops from several NATO countries can be stationed, the publications specify. The decision to locate NATO headquarters in Finland will be made in the fall, Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said.
According to the head of the Finnish Ministry of Defense, the tense situation on the border could provoke a situation in which the allies begin conducting additional exercises near the Russian border.
