Censored by the FRF, Burleanu's opponent caused a scandal » Immobilized by bodyguards: “Dictatorship!”

There were only two candidates for the position of president of the Federation: the one in office since 2014, Răzvan Burleanu, and Ilie Drăgan, the president of the junior club 3 Kids Sport.

The latter would have wanted to support his program, the ideas he would like to implement as president of the Federation, but he was not allowed. The federals proposed to go directly to the vote, much to Drăgan's irritation.

Until then located upstairs, Drăgan came down and improvised, trying to give the speech in front of the representatives of the clubs.

“Let me speak! I'm going to say it here, in the hall. Look like this, here. If you're wondering why I'm running, well, that's why I'm running! Mr. Burleanu talked about me, that I didn't achieve anything. He didn't say my name, but we all know what he meant…”, he began to say, before someone in the room grabbed his arm and asked him to stop, as the vote had begun.

“But leave me alone! I have a speech. The people at home want to know what's going on. I'm a candidate for the presidency of the FRF. I want to tell the people at home. Such a thing is not possible! This is not democracy, it is dictatorship!“, he retorted, while some in the room insisted: “Come on, kick him out”.

Two security guards put their hands on him, trying to remove him from there. He ducked and continued to address the clubs' representatives, who didn't necessarily seem interested in what he had to say.

As he did not manage to capture the attention of those in the hall, as if they were embarrassed to listen to him, Drăgan announced that he would later present his point of view, in dialogue with the press.

From the moment voting began, The Federation cut the sound from the hall on the LIVE broadcast, replacing it with background music.
