The foundation, which gave Shabunin a car for the front, said that the “activist” took it for himself – he has another suspicion – UNIAN

The head of the Communist Party of Ukraine Vitaly Shabunin, who was dismissed from service and hidden in the rear, will soon receive another suspicion: for fraud with a car bought for the country's defense needs.

“Shabunin's associate Sherembey gave us a story with a twist, saying that Shabunin has been mobilized and is going to Donbas. There, he will stand with a machine gun in a trench and fend off enemy attacks. After that, the CEO Club businessmen collected money (the average cost of such cars is €5-7 thousand), and our charitable foundation organized the logistics of delivering the car, using our own funds. Thus, the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder entered Ukraine as a humanitarian vehicle. The “Paladin” charitable foundation handed it over personally to Shabunin with a specific purpose — for the defense of the country! This is indicated in the acceptance-handover act,” noted the co-founder of “Paladin” BF Denys Dolynskyi.
But the car, instead of the front, went to Shabunin's garage. Now a new suspicion awaits the “anti-corruption officer”.
Previously, veterans, lawyers and volunteers publicly supported the suspicion of the head of the Central Committee and, concurrently, military officer Vitaly Shabunin. He was caught in bogus service, fraud and misappropriation of volunteer property intended for the army. Shabunin was considered a soldier for almost two years, but did not appear in the unit. Despite this, he received more than UAH 50,000 per month and appropriated a car delivered for the Armed Forces.

The Pechersk Court of Kyiv imposed a preventive measure on Vitaliy Shabunin, the activist and head of the public organization “Anti-Corruption Center” in the first case – evasion of military service and receipt of illegal funds. Shabunin will be under personal bond until August 20.
