Marko Dugandzic, introduced to the new team: contract for five games

Marko Dugandzic (31 years old), the former footballer from Rapid and CFR Cluj, was officially introduced to Levski Sofia.

After Marko Dugandzic agreed in principle with FK Sarajevo, the transfer fell through and he was presented to Levski Sofia, the leader in the Bulgarian championship.

Marko Dugandzic has signed a contract valid until the end of the 2025-2026 season, according to the official release, i.e. for only 5 matches. So many stages are left in the championship of Bulgaria, where Levski is free.

The attacker was presented through an official statement on the club's social media pages.

“PFC Levski has transferred forward Marko Dugandžić. The player has successfully passed his medical and signed a contract with the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Marko Dugandzic was born on April 7, 1994 in Osijek (Croatia). As a youngster at local team Osijek, he went through all the club's youth formations. He signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2012, making 55 appearances and scoring 9 goals.

  • Marko Dugandzic played for only three teams in Romania: FC Botoșani, first, CFR Cluj, where he did not have a major impact, and Rapid, where he “exploded”. The Croatian was out of contract since January 1 after parting ways with FC Seoul.

  • At CFR Cluj he recorded 17 matches, one goal and one assist. In Botoșani he played 20 matches, scored 11 goals and provided 2 decisive assists. He had the longest stay at Rapid: 48 matches, 28 goals and 3 assists. In total collected 49 matches in the Superliga.

Levski Sofia is almost certain of the title of champion in Bulgaria. With 5 stages to go, Levski has a lead of 9 points over the chasing Ludogorets and the same number of points. For the last 14 years Ludogorets has won the championship every season. Levski Sofia was last champion in the 2008-2009 season.
