A criminal case has been opened in Krasnoyarsk regarding an attack by a stray dog ​​on a minor, the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia reported.

As it turned out, in March, a stray dog ​​attacked an 8-year-old boy on Sverdlovskaya Street in Krasnoyarsk. It is noted that this case is not isolated, but no measures are being taken to organize the capture of animals.

Based on this fact, the investigative department for the Sverdlovsk district of the city of Krasnoyarsk of the Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence).

Investigators are carrying out the necessary investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. As part of the investigation, a legal assessment will be given of the activities of local government officials and those responsible for organizing the capture and maintenance of stray animals.
