An Mi-8 helicopter carrying three Russian pilots and 11 passengers crashed in northern Pakistan. At least six people were killed and eight were injured.
It all happened in the North Waziristan region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Local media write that the helicopter was rented by Mari Petroleum, which is engaged in oil exploration and production. Previously, we flew to a black gold deposit. Along the way, technical problems began. Our pilots tried to land the helicopter, but the tail rotor hit the ground and the ship capsized.
Representatives of Mari Petroleum stated that the Mi-8 had an engine failure. Rescuers continue to evacuate the victims – most of them have already been taken to the nearest hospital.
