In Krasnoyarsk, workers manually remove ice from sidewalks

March 2 11:19

In Krasnoyarsk, 184 manual labor teams and more than 60 pieces of equipment are involved in cleaning the road network.

Workers manually remove ice from sidewalks. However, given the delicacy of some surfaces, such as paving stones, an ice ax cannot be used everywhere. Therefore, in places where the layer of ice is too thick and it is extremely difficult to remove it, specialists use friction materials. This helps improve traction and reduce the risk of falls.

“Your safety is our priority! If you notice problems with cleaning or slippery streets, don't remain indifferent! Leave your requests for cleaning the road network,” noted the municipal Department of Roads, Infrastructure and Improvement.

Experts added that all requests will be carefully considered and included in the work plan.

Let us remind you that earlier Krasnoyarsk road workers repaired deep holes on Michurin Street using the “cast asphalt” method.
