Alba Iulia dreams of promotion

On a sporting level, Unirea Alba Iulia is going through an excellent season. The team is the leader in Series 7 of League 3, with two points over Politehnica Timișoara, and has serious chances at the barrage for promotion.

The last presence in League 1 dates back to the 2009/2010 season, when the team finished in 18th place. The best ranking in history remains 6th place, in the 2003/2004 season, and in 1990/1991 the club reached the semifinals of the Romanian Cup.
