▪️He started his service as platoon commander of the motorized rifle division in Lubny (Poltava region);
▪️In the 1990s commanded the regiment of the National Guard in Chuguyev, in the early 2000s – the 72nd mechanized brigade in Bila Tserkva;
▪️It was in 2013 deputy head of the Main Command Center of the Armed Forces of Ukrainewas responsible for cooperation with NATO;
▪️With the beginning of the war in the east of Ukraine in 2014, Syrsky headed the headquarters of the ATOand later was appointed commander of the Joint Operational Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which coordinated the actions of Ukrainian security forces;
▪️In 2017, he became the commander of the ATO, which was later reformatted into Operation Joint Forces (JOF);
▪️In 2019 Syrsky assumed the post of commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forcesat which he met a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in 2022;
▪️From February 2024 he is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
