The CIA director briefed congressional leadership on Iran

Rubia and Ratcliffe's meeting with leaders of both parties in Congress and the heads and deputy heads of the intelligence committees in both houses lasted less than an hour and took place behind closed doors at the White House. Some participants took part via video link. Among them was Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, who told reporters one sentence after the meeting:
— This is a serious matter, and the administration must present its arguments to the American people.
Republican leader John Thune made a similarly conservative statement.
“They think a lot about this situation. And I appreciate their point of view, said the politician.

Trump: Iran wants to make a deal more than I do
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump said that Iran “wants to make a deal more than he does, but is not willing to utter the sacred phrase: 'We will not build nuclear weapons'.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said that Tehran will never develop nuclear weapons under any circumstances. He also added that the Iranians will never give up “the right to use peaceful nuclear technology for the benefit of our nation.”
On Monday, several American media reported that the highest-ranking US commander, Gen. Dan Caine, was to warn the president against the risks associated with intervention in Iran, including the risk of a longer conflict and depletion of ammunition supplies for air defense systems.
