After Rapid – Dinamo 2-1the turf at the National Arena remained in terrible conditions. FCSB – Metaloglobus will play here on Monday evening, from 20:00
During a period of heavy snowfall in Bucharest, the pitch at the country's largest stadium did not escape unscathed. Covered in snow all day Sunday, until the start of the derby, the turf was visibly damaged.
Fast – Dinamo played on large areas of mud, the remaining grass being useful only to add a splash of color to the photos. The game of the two rivals from Bucharest suffered because of the pitch, the people from Giulio knowing better how to handle the given conditions.

It stopped snowing after the start of the derby, but the pitch remained soaked and deteriorated as the minutes passed. Towards the end, the ball had already become difficult to control due to the mud on the green-brown rectangle.
And the images captured by GSP after the final whistle of Sunday's game show how the turf has reached a deplorable state after the battle on the Arena. Very soft with large portions of mud.
FCSB will have a difficult task on Monday as they try to unseat Metaloglobus. As happened to Dinamo with Rapid, the game on the ground, with filtering passes, will most likely be difficult to put into practice. However, the difference in value between the opponents of the red-blues and red-whites must be mentioned.
It will be a physical battle, with Charalambous' students and Pintilii trying to stay in play-off contention. Any result other than the champion's victory would basically mean that FCSB – Metaloglobus will play for the third time this season, in the play-out.
According to the weather forecast, there will be no more snow in the Capital in the next few days, so the pitch at the National Arena could have a break to recover, most likely after the game on Monday night.
By Sunday morning, the lawn was completely covered in snow
After the snowfall that hit Bucharest with snow on Friday evening and Saturday morning, a thick layer of slush had been deposited on the lawn of the Arena.
Thus, on the morning of the derby between Rapid and Dinamo, it was completely white, the hosts working all day to remove the snow. They succeeded, but the traces of the snow remained.
