Police shot and killed a man with a knife who climbed onto the roof of a shopping center in Sterlitamak and threatened to stab them.
Eyewitnesses noticed the armed man an hour ago – at approximately 23:30 local time. And they called the police. The arriving squad tried to calm the man down, but he refused and climbed onto the roof of the City Mall shopping center on Oktyabrya Avenue.
There he was surrounded by law enforcement officers. Persuasion did not help – the answer was threats with a knife. Then they opened fire on him. The man died on the spot.
