“Let's give them more respect”

Bodo/Glimt defeated Cristi Chivu's Inter (45 years old), score 3-1, in the first leg of the play-off for the “eighties” of the Champions League. Experts Jamie Carragher (48) and Thierry Henry (48) analyzed the failure of last season's Champions League finalists.

The performance of the Norwegians can no longer be ignored even by the big names in European football.

Carragher claims now that Bodo/Glimt has earned his respect. Instead, Henry is no longer shocked by what the students trained by Kjetil Knutsen have achieved.

Carragher and Henry saw Bodo/Glimt – Inter 3-1 and had their say

“Are you really surprised? Unfortunately, this is the current situation in Italian football“, said Henry, in the CBS studio, when analyzing the match.

Carragher reacted suggestively and shook his head, visibly surprised: “It's a huge shock when you see the name Bodo/Glimt next to Inter Milan,” said the former England stopper.

Henry's reply was not late: “It may seem surprising. But when you look at the Norwegians' recent results, is that still the case? They did it on home soil. They did that on the road too.”

Carragher added: “You watch the game and see the goals Bodo/Glimt scored, their quality, especially the first goal. You look at the teams they beat this season. Yes, it is still a shock, but they are playing like a very good Champions League team.

That's the feeling they leave and maybe we need to give them more respect,” said the Liverpool legend.

With the Norwegian championship about to start, Bodo/Glimt played three big and wide games in 2026. And what results they got! (3-1 with Manchester City, 2-1 with Atletico Madrid and 3-1 with Inter).

It was a difficult game against a good opponent, especially on their home ground. A bad result and a dark night for us, but we have to stay calm and believe we can win at home.
