Terrible crime in a refugee center in the Rivne region, Ukraine, where a man killed five people with a hammer and an ax in a fit of rage.
A shocking murder rocked the community of Rivne region, where a 72-year-old man killed five people in a center for internally displaced persons (IDPs) using a hammer and an axe. The police immediately detained the aggressor, and the authorities started an investigation.
According to the UNN news agency, the incident happened in the morning of February 10, around 04:10, in a disused school that serves as a common home for several people displaced from the village of Sudobychi.

A social worker alerted the police after hearing the screams of the tenants and realized that the situation was serious.
The police determined that a domestic conflict broke out between the 72-year-old man, originally from the Donetsk region, and other refugees at the center, which quickly degenerated into a violent altercation. In a fit of rage, the 72-year-old man began to hit the other residents with an ax and a hammer.
The tragedy resulted in five victims dying on the spot due to their injuries: two men aged 60 and 68, two women aged 81 and 78, originally from the Donetsk region, and a 56-year-old woman from the Kirovohrad region.
The first on the scene were the patrol officers, who immediately identified the attacker. Later, the investigators arrived, who detained the man and opened a case of qualified murder.
