The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced that “in the first part of this year” the major burns center in Târgu Mureș will be equipped with medical equipment and the circuits and systems will be tested.
The center, the official estimates, will be “put into use, most likely, from the fall of this year.”
“The construction is almost completed, and in the first part of this year the decisive stage follows: equipping with medical equipment, testing the circuits and validating the operation of all systems, so that the center can be put into use, most likely, from the fall of this year,” said Alexandru Rogobete, on Sunday, in a post on Facebook.
The capabilities of the center
The Minister of Health explained that it is about “a new building, with a total area of 24,113 square meters, designed specifically for the treatment of critical cases”.
“The major burn center will include 5 beds for critical patients, 10 beds for intermediate therapy, microsurgery and reconstructive surgery, an ATI department with 44 beds and an operating block with 25 operating rooms. In addition, spaces related to the medical act, a blood transfusion center, sterilization and a training center for medical personnel are provided,” he also declared.
