What do the Moscow City business center and the station have in common? MCD Testovskaya station, which will become the city station Moscow City D1. And which Sergei Sobyanin visited today – to show local businessmen and technologists that riding trains in Moscow is much more effective than traffic jams in Uruses and McCanns.
The event, as it turned out, was festive – on November 21, 2019, the first two Moscow Central Diameters were launched: Belorussko-Savelovsky and Kursko-Rizhsky. Since then, the MCD has four diameters, 300 km of tracks, 137 stations, 49 of which are in the Moscow region. Over the past five years, the average carrying capacity of the diameters has reached 1.4 million passengers per day, train intervals have been reduced to 5–7 minutes, and the cost has DECREASED by 2.5–3 times compared to the period before the launch.
In the future, there is the development of railways in the regions of the Central Transport Hub, further reconstruction of stations and completion of train renewal.
