The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu, met on Tuesday, on the first day of his official visit to Israel, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.

“Meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. We agreed to accelerate Romanian-Israeli economic ties. More Romanian companies in Israel, new Israeli investments in Romania and top expertise in AI and technology, to strengthen key sectors”the PSD president sent in a message on the X platform.

Sorin Grindeanu, together with a parliamentary delegation, is making an official visit to the State of Israel, between February 3-5.

During the official visit, he will have meetings with Isaac Herzog, the President of the State of Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Grindeanu will also visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, where he will lay a wreath at the Hall of Remembrance.

19:00 – Official dinner hosted by the Speaker of the Knesset – Knesset

10:00 – Meeting with Mr. Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel – Presidency

11:00 – Visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial

The delegation of the president of the Chamber of Deputies includes deputy Silviu Vexler (Minorities – president of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania), president of the Parliamentary Group for Friendship with the State of Israel in the Romanian Parliament, high representative of the Romanian Parliament for combating anti-Semitism, Silvia Claudia-Mihalcea (PSD), secretary of the Chamber of Deputies, Loránd-Bálint Magyar (UDMR), quaestor of the Chamber of Deputies, Alina-Ştefania Gorghiu (PNL), vice-president of the Committee for Foreign Policy of the Chamber of Deputies, president of the Joint Special Commission of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate in the field of legislation on the prevention, combating and sanctioning of domestic violence – “Romania without domestic violence”, deputy Radu-Nicolae Mihaiu (USR), president of the Commission for Information and Communications Technology of the Chamber of Deputies, as well as Alexandru Florin Rogobete, the Minister of Health.
