A businessman from the Moscow region sued BMW for more than 300 million rubles due to a non-working fan.
Roma (name changed) bought an X7 in 2021 for 11 million rubles, fully equipped. Among other things, there was airflow in the backs of the front seats, which was supposed to make trips in the heat more comfortable. However, instead, he scraped against the skin, hit the butt and back, and, according to the owner, screamed like a slaughtered pig. The entrepreneur went to court to sue the carmaker for money and force him to provide a new car.
The court ruled that BMW must pay a penalty until the car is replaced, but after leaving the Russian market, they ignored this. The fines amounted to 6.5 million a month, which by today has accumulated 300 million. In a conversation with Roman, BMW representatives behaved rudely, called him names and called the independent examination “talk of nonsense.” The judge had to make several remarks about the inadmissibility of rudeness when representatives of the German company tried to request her recusal.
