A 13-year-old schoolboy attacked classmates with a hammer in the Irkutsk region
Three eighth-graders were injured, one had a broken head, two had arm injuries. The attack occurred at 10:30 during a break at a school in the village of Balagansk: when the children were changing clothes for physical education in the locker room, Artyom B. burst in and rushed at a classmate with a hammer, hitting him on the back of the head.
A physical education teacher was able to neutralize the student. The child is now being interrogated by police officers, his motives are being clarified. The attacking student was described as “withdrawn and uncommunicative.”
