Roma and Italian football legend Francesco Totti was accused of tax evasion. The “King of Rome” was found to have at least €200k in debt – it is assumed that the amount could be 10 times more.
Totti is already on the list of suspects of the Roman court. A preliminary investigation has established that the ex-captain of the yellow-reds deliberately hid the VAT number required to declare part of the income received from advertising videos and posts on his social networks.
Francesco's debt initially amounted to several thousand euros, but over time it increased due to interest and fines. During the check, law enforcement officers suspected Totti of several more frauds.
From December 9 to December 13, he was scheduled to meet with the city prosecutor. Previously, due to problems with the law and finances, the striker may return to big football – in order to resolve issues with debts and not end up in places not so remote.
