Costel Gâlcă (53 years old), coach of Rapid, commented the victory with UTA, 2-1after his team was led.

Led by UTA, Rapid had the power to turn the result around. Victory moved it to second place in the championship, between Craiova University (46 points, +1) and Dinamo (44 points, -1).

Costel Gâlcă declared himself satisfied with the attitude of his players and the impact of those who entered along the way. Leo Bolgado, entered at halftime, scored the winning goal. Another player thrown into the fray in the second half, Olimpiu Moruțan, created some great opportunities.

Costel Gâlcă, after UTA – Rapid: “Moruțan? You can see that he has quality”

“We were able to turn the result around with the attitude and the team's play, with the changes we made we brought a plus. Everyone who comes in has to come with a plus. You don't achieve the goals with just 11 players, but with the whole squad. Everyone is important.

These are intense matches, everyone now knows what they are playing for. There are a few games left in the regular season and that's when the intensity picks up. Of course we really want to be up there.

Important players have arrived, who increase the value of the team, of the lot. We can fight to reach our goal”, said Gâlcă to PrimaSport.

“I liked it, of course, he came in with attitude. You can see he has quality. I hope he integrates as quickly as possible, gets minutes, plays a lot, because he will help us.”

I didn't see the penalty phases, but I think we deserved to win.

U Cluj is next, yes. A well placed team on the pitch with good players. No game is easy anymore, not even with the bottom ones, because there aren't many games left in the regular season and then every point is important.
