The Brazilian footballer Alexander Amorim de Freitas Filho (20 years old), known as Amorim, the player from Alverca, is the new footballer from Genoa, the Italian media announced. Dan Șucu's club would pay 7 million euros.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Amorim will join Daniele De Rossi's squad. The Brazilian has reached an agreement with Genoa on personal terms: a contract until 2030.

“Amorim has accepted a contract until 2030 with Genoa, a team that offered 7 million to those from Alverca to take him immediately,” Nicolo Schira said on his Twitter page.
Amorim was formed in the junior formations of those from Fortaleza. He made his senior debut at Athletic Club, a League 2 team in Brazil, on loan from Fortaleza's juniors. In the summer of 2025, he was transferred by Alverca for the sum of 310,000 euros. It is quoted by specialized websites at 2.5 million euros, so Dan Șucu's team will pay almost three times its market share.
With Amorim, Genoa will fight for salvation from relegation. . Daniele De Rossi's side are currently 13th in the table with 23 points, six more than bottom-placed Fiorentina. Genoa's next match will be against Lazio. The duel that counts for stage #23 in Serie A was scheduled for January 30, from 21:45.
