On January 23, environmental inspectors from the Ministry of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory checked the operation of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1. Measurements were also carried out within the sanitary protection zone of the enterprise.

At the industrial site of CHPP-1, specialists inspected the operation of electric precipitators and the online monitoring system, which continuously monitors the station’s emissions. As explained by the director of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1, Sergei Borodulin, during the NMU period, the CHPP carries out a full range of measures approved by the regional Ministry of Ecology:

“At this time, equipment tests are not carried out, repair work on cleaning heating surfaces is suspended, and the operating mode of the boilers is under special control. Emissions are monitored around the clock by an automated system, the sensors of which are placed directly on the pipes.” The plant director also emphasized that the thermal power plant continues to operate in accordance with the approved temperature schedule, providing residents with heat and hot water in full.

First Deputy Minister of Ecology of the region Yulia Gumenyuk noted that the inspection confirmed the implementation of special measures regarding the operating mode of the thermal power plant: “We checked the online monitoring data: on one pipe the emission parameters were 2 times lower than the permissible standard, on the other – 5 times.”

It is important to note that emissions are monitored at all SGC stations in Krasnoyarsk. Automated control systems are installed at the thermal power plant. Monitoring is an important part of the federal project “Clean Air” of the national project “Ecological Well-Being”. Rosprirodnadzor specialists confirmed that the equipment operates correctly, and the data obtained is objective and reliable.

SGK has been a participant in the federal program since 2018. During this period, the company implemented a large-scale set of measures to modernize and develop the capacities of its enterprises, taking into account all environmental requirements. Thus, at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1, a new 275-meter pipe was erected, replacing three lower ones, 13 of 15 electric precipitators were installed with a cleaning efficiency of over 99%, two new boilers were launched, and two turbines are being installed. The commissioning of all treatment plants will reduce the station's dust emissions by 80%, and general emissions by 20%. In general, the implementation of the Company’s environmental program will reduce the burden on the environment of Krasnoyarsk by 8.7 thousand tons per year.
