The cold scared the spectators of the Superliga » Incredible average in the post-pandemic era

The frost that hit Romania at the beginning of the year drove the fans from the stadiums. It was also -10 degrees during the games, which led to a drastic drop in the average number of fans.

By stage #22, the lowest average attendance this season had been recorded in stage 18, 3,624 spectators.

At Miercurea Ciuc there were less than 1000 fans

At Miercurea Ciuc, where the winters hit mercilessly, only 698 spectators were present for the victory of Csikszereda against Botoșani, score 1-0.

In contrast, most fans this stage were in Gulești, at Rapid – Metaloglobus. 6,310, less than half the stadium's capacity, witnessed the hosts' 1-0 victory.

In second place was Dinamo – U Cluj, with an attendance of 4,601 fans, while the podium was completed by the match FC Argeș – FCSB 1-0, played in Mioveni, which gathered 3,972 spectators.

The old record in the post-Covid era dates from stage #20 of the 2024-2025 season, when 3,068 fans was the average. In stage #21 of 2022-2023 there was an average of 3,071 fans, and stage 12 of 2022-2023 recorded an average of 3,361 fans in the arenas in Romania.
