In Krasnoyarsk, in the courtyard of a residential building on Shumyatsky Street, 9, a parked car caught fire that night, then the fire spread to the one standing next to it.
Eyewitnesses shared footage from the scene.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the fire was reported January 18 at 23:19 hours:
“When fire and rescue units arrived, a car was on fire, and there was a threat of the fire spreading to nearby cars. As a result, one car burned down on an area of 6 square meters. m., part of the second car was also damaged on an area of 2 sq. m. There were no casualties. The fire was extinguished in 23:495 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 1 piece of special equipment worked on the spot.”
According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire in the car was an electrical short circuit.
