The veterans' forum united the first representatives of the state. In particular, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, NATO Secretary General Marko Rutte, Ukrainian military personnel, veterans and representatives of veteran businesses.
One of the key topics of the forum is the reintegration of the military. Andrii Lavrenovych, a representative of the volunteer-veteran company “General Chereshnya”, suggested that the state create a “demobilization package” – a set of services and actions that every demobilized military person should receive.
The “package” should include: psychological assistance, social benefits, free access to education, mandatory employment. According to Andrii, the state should provide the social part, while business can and is ready to integrate into the programs of education, psychological rehabilitation and employment of veterans.
About 20% of veterans currently work in General Chereshnya, one of the co-founders of which is a veteran. Another 40% of employees came from the volunteer movement. Andriy Lavrenovych points out that these categories of people should become successful and effective managers of future Ukraine.
